The Alpha Phi Chapter of the AlphaPhi Alpha Fraternity has had an interesting and proud history of forty- eight years on the Clark College Campus. Born less than twenty- one years after the founding of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity in 1906, Alpha Phi’s within two years of half century of leadership in Greek-dom on this campus. It would be interesting to know how many Clark Men, Graduates, and former students, have been and are. The record, I am sure, would be very impressive. It was discovered during the school year 1925- 1926 that there were a considerable number of men at Clark interested in becoming members of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.
PURSUANT TO THE DISCOVERY OF THIS INTEREST THE OASIS CLUB was organized on the Clark University campus in the fall of 1926 by James P. Brawley and E. Luther Brooks. Seven hopeful young men constituted membership in the Oasis Club, namely: Horace Caroll; DeWitt Dykes; Marquis L. Harris: Edward L. Lipscomb; Jasper Nelson; Hosea Nyabonga; and Arthur Weems.

IN RECENT YEARS...
Alpha Phi Chapter has produced four District Brother of the Year recipients: Michael Hightower, Larry Earvin, Anthony Thomas, and Ashton Edmunds.
Eleven Years, Alpha Phi Chapter was cited as State Chapter of the Year, seven times as Regional Chapter of the Year since 1975.
